Starlit Heroics: A Spectrum of Hate (OOC)

After the Great Decorruption and the rise of the New Goddess of Time, things returned to relative peace on the planet of Xephixir. Those called forward through time were taught the ways of the universe, and teams of educators and guards were sent to the planet of Cerphixen to introduce technology to the many people deprived of it.

All in all, things had settled into a rhythm, several months after the battle.

But a new threat will arise, soon, though not one unanticipated. After many years of quiet, the Fallen Goddess of Beauty, Suprema, possessed the princess of Magmarne, Fiametta, sometime before everything went down on Cerphixen. Since then, the Goddess of Love Kerenza has been on guard, scouting for those who show signs of being controlled to serve her as one of her pet Dark Mistresses.

But Dark Mistresses can sometimes prove hard to catch thanks to Suprema.

Personality: A bookworm to a certain extreme, Danielle is never seen without a large book in her arms - her 'lexicon', as she calls it, though it is not a magical lexicon. She values her friends strongly, and doesn't necessarily like to fight, though she will if she's in a pinch.

Bio: Daniel's twin sister, Danielle is a fair bit different. After the war, Danielle was one of the first to bounce back, keeping her promise to be on the team of educators going up to Cerphixen. When she came home from her tour, she brought an orphaned little girl with her, and has been caring for her, teaching her magic.

Bio: Rosentia was born a different person, so she says. It shows in how she is built. Unfortunately, some don't take too kindly to such folk even on Xephixir, and she became the target of two brothers, one of whom stalked her, stole her lady things and tried everything he could to 'bring back the man he fell in love with', and the other who pretended to love her until he got in close. They're dead now. Since then, she's mostly retreated to her gardens, rarely showing herself amongst even her family.

Things really stayed the same for Rosentia after the war. She wants to go up to collect new plant samples.

After the war, Eris is more clingy towards her mother than ever, usually seen tailing her around, helping take care of the baby, or et cetera.

She has a lot of schisms still from all the people she was made to hurt, and then getting revived and made to be some creepy sod's sex slave.

Bio (Can be short or long, depends): Idurina is the child of Immortalia and Cassandra's late older brother Evelor, who was lost along with his wife in the same incident that killed the Zempheriean royals' parents. Even before that, Idurina was Cassandra's favorite niece, by far... mostly because the others and her own children were still very little.

When the incident happened, Idurina was immediately welcomed into Cassandra's family with the newly-adopted Azurra and a young Fiurine. She and her sister cared for her, right up until she was killed in the night by an assassin two years ago, a harbringer to the dark times yet to come.

Fast forward to more recent times, when Idurina and some generals who were also lost were revived by Danil IPF himself, mind controlled and supercharged with power, in an attempt to loosen the morale of the Nintendrian royals. In this power-crazed control, Idurina was aware the whole time of what she was doing, locked into her own mind and unable to do anything to stop it. Especially when she was forced into fatally disabling and wounding one Zorana Smith. She still doesn't know that the girl was saved.
She was eventually stopped upon seeing her aunts, who had come looking for her, knowing the energy of the attacks was hers. That was enough for her to break the bonds of the mind control long enough for Cassandra to lay her back to rest.

Two days later, she was revived with a Reviver Stone, by a fanatic obsessed with the Royal Family. Just before she was put back under control, she sent her guardian, a fairy named Kurin, to find her aunts and bring them here. Needless to say, they did, and now that fanatic is in pieces and Idurina is back at the castle, where she's been avoiding everyone ever since.

After the war, Idurina finally came back out of hiding.

Bio (Can be short or long, depends): Spirit's story began at an early age, when she developed her healing powers. She was top of her class in the specialty healing classes because of this. In her spare time, she picked up the drums, and her skill with them grew until she was finally noticed by one Zorana Smith, becoming one of the founding members of the Merry Murderesses, a move which would put her right in fame's lap. When our story began, she was traveling about with her sister and one other that was forgotten about. Little did she know the scale of the tale that little trip would become.

Spirit returned home to a more quiet life ever since everything was said and done. She is currently in school to become a doctor in her own right, being trained by Hemera.

Personality: A box of sass who doesn't try to pretend to have class, even around royalty. She'll walk into Nintendria Castle buck naked and not give a single damn what anyone, guard or prince, has to say about it. She is very protective of those she considers friends and allies, willingly throwing her life on the line in a heartbeat for them, even if it means going up against percieved superiors or entities with the powers of demigods. Has a phobia of organized religion, and an addiction to pain medication that borders on crippling, perhaps even more crippling than her leg that's bent in the middle of the calf at an awful angle.

Bio (Can be short or long, depends): Born as Magdalene Vargas, the only story Midnight knows of her biological father was how he defended her and her mother as they fled from... somewhere, when she was just a week old. She never even knew his name. Recently, she's often wondered if she came from Cerphixen.

During her developmental years, Midnight lived on a religious compound in uncolonized land just outside of Nintendria. The elders preached of 'Old Gods' who would damn or bless the universe based on the actions of those in it. They completely denounced the Eleven Creators as mere myth, and they believed that unless you followed their orders to the letter, these Old Gods, Eight terrible beasts of mythic proportion, would destroy everything. They believed the use of healing magic to be a sin, and she suffered for it, losing her eyesight to treatable disease at just three years old, and becoming permanently crippled after a terrible fall at seven.

Unfortunately for Midnight, she was the scapegoat the elders would use to call out others' sins - she was beaten often, and generally for petty reasons such as not reading from their scripture despite being blind, or pretending to be a dragon when they were seen as beasts that held the eternal enmity of the Old Gods. She bears many scars for it. She is technically orphaned, as her mother died in childbirth at six because the elders wouldn't even call in a midwife.

At thirteen years old, she fled that compound in the night, abandoning her true name for a pseudonym and running as far as a blind girl could. It was now, when she truly needed it, that her latent Aura powers awoke, enabling her once again to see, in a sense. She found her way into Nintendria, where she lived on the streets and honed her art, the art on stealing. Eventually, however, she was found by a couple who tended to a forest preserve called the Vargas Farmstead, and for a long time, she was their only child.

A couple years ago, however, her home was raided by a dark, sinister man called Kuzuaku, allegedly sent by the Cult of the Old Gods to reclaim and punish Midnight for her transgressions. He murdered her new family and kidnapped her, enslaving her into service alongside a young man named Morning Valentine. In his organization, set on taking down the gods and establishing himself as a new ruler of the worlds, she had to keep her Aura powers hidden, as he seemed to destroy the wielders of it on sight in particular. And so she found herself right back at square one, scared and abused.

It happened that she began thinking of Morning like a best friend, as they were partnered together, and it happened that one day, Morning would fail on a mission to assassinate the Nintendrian royalty on Kuzuaku's orders. For this, he was punished to near-death, and Midnight found herself finally becoming fed up. So she approached Kuzuaku, and demanded he atone for his sins, and not the other way around. He laughed in her face, to which she responded with a strike to a crucial pressure point, cutting off his access to his immense well of Shadow magic. The ensuing battle between them was short, as having hidden her power for all these years, Midnight found she had a clear advantage, and she soon found herself liberating all his slaves, coated in his blood.

She didn't spend more than half a day wandering through Ethernealrus before she came across a cabin in the plains. Figuring she would need a place to sleep, she broke in, only to find that the cabin was already occupied by the captive princesses of Lumentia and Ventureni. When they told her why they were there, she figured she just wasn't done risking her neck yet, and helped them break out in exchange for helping her find her way back to Nintendria. When she arrived at the castle with them, she joined with the heroes on the spot.

Since the Big Finale, Midnight has mostly just lived in her house on the Farmstead. She's enjoyed the peace.

Cherry, despite nearly being eaten and also dying on Cerphixen, has bounced back relatively quickly. Maybe it's the fact that she's had experience with being impaled with sharp things before, what with all the lab explosions. That metal kidney didn't just appear there after all. She's moved completely on from Ananta, and by now is in a stable relationship with the Terrantian guard she fancied. She is currently working on prosthetic pressure sensitivity and mechanical dicks.

Bio (Can be short or long, depends): Ila lead the average princess life, nothing really notable. She and her brother knew the Ventureni royal family quite well. Then Terrantia all but died, and she, along with the rest, was turned into salt. Once Danil was freed, the kingdom was restored, and now she's recovering from all that.

Bio: One of eleven original people that created the universe that contains Xephixir and Cerphixen, she was, for ten thousand years, the only one left. Seven of the others died early on in the fight against the beast keeping them from entering the universe, and the last three - her mothers and sister, were grievously wounded. They would pass on in this universe, therefore were able to be revived later. On the other side of the door to it, she found Ranthael, who aided her in shaping the beginnings of Ethernealrus, and then helped her seal herself away inside a rift where time has no meaning. She didn't come out for then thousand years. But then she did. And she learned about the universe, got her family back, and sacrificed her godly status for the good of everyone else. Now, mortal again, she lives a normal life with her sister, mothers, and the family that was thrown forward through time when she threw herself under the bus.

Lately, with Ranthael having disappeared, she's been taking her dragon, Tempest, out on sweeping flies over the kingdoms every morning, trying to see if she can spot him. She misses having him around and wonders if his disappearance is her fault for what she did.

Bio: Originally from a poor lower class family, Kaj grew up to a fairly normal life... more or less. But one day his town was ravaged and family killed by undead. Thus, Kaj is rather unfond of the undead, and won't even bother to attempt to fight one (though adventuring around the world and after-world has helped relieve some of that phobia.) He was adopted by a Shadowrian ambassador, and grew up to be a knight. Kaj mainly fights with a sword, though he has a few Dark magic spells in his back pocket.

Kaj moved to Zempheriea castle with his new wife, where he was quickly offered a high level military position for his work in the war against the corruption. Though he initially felt inadequate for the job, he accepted with Luna’s support, and has spent the months hard at work studying military and political strategy.

Luna spends her days helping the people of Zempheriea rebuild and recover. Her positive presence gives the people much hope.

Generally, Luna is very kind and trusting. However, she blames herself for a lot of the issues that happened during the adventure.

Thankfully, Denzia, who was escaping the DR at the time, found him and gave him a robo-arm replacement. After that, Jack became a freelance hitman for hire, and has quite a resume of targets. But he's since retired to live a normal life. Well, unless someone has a bunch of cash and in need of someone's early grave. He can always make exceptions. Just don't tell his girlfriend.

Bio: Originally part of a DR experiment to become the perfect Animus, Denzia was deemed unworthy and was to be terminated when he escaped. On his way out, though, he ran into Jack and brought him back to a secret lair, where after borrowing some supplies from the DR lab, made Jack an awesome new arm. Denzia has always wanted to get back at the DR for not being perfect enough for them. He tried to destroy them once. It didn't work out.
Ever since, Denzia sort of lost interest and hangs out with Jack and his cat, Fred. While Denzia is actually a brilliant scientist, hanging out with Jack seems to make him look dull as well.

Denzia currently rooms with Jack, and has a job working at a local research facility.

Bio: Teruchi isn't the most popular guy in the group. Could never trust that guy. Before he joined the merry band of heroes, Teruchi took full advantage of his prince status. He won't admit how many girlfriends he's gone through, but he eventually landed Saffron and they've been together for a good amount of time. Until, of course, the Existen Crucio took her away and black mailed him into helping his evil plot of... what was that again? Yeah I'll retcon that and make it make sense one of these days.
Teruchi is a master of wind magic, and often prides himself in this. His weapon of choice are tags, of which he prepares beforehand with various magic spells, and then sticks to opponents who then receive said spells. He keeps his tags up his large sleeves, where there's so many, he's not too concerned with running out. While he hates using it, Teruchi keeps an emergency short sword with him as well. He's also alright at using a bow and arrow, but Kaze is better at it. Teruchi prefers to use magic as opposed to weapons, as he gets queasy and weak at the sight of blood.
Unfortunately, the group did not take kindly to him spontaneously killing Luna. He got dead for a hundred pages, but then came back as Garuda, helping the ancient dragon Lily to seek and hunt down Loki. I didn't work out, so now he and Loki have a sort of unspoken cease-fire agreement. Though that'll probably not last long.

After his help in the battle at The Lost Society Fortress, Teruchi negotiated parole with the Lumentians. (Having the princess dating his sister helped.) When he was let out, he promptly disappeared and hasn’t been seen since.

Bio: The younger sister to Teruchi, Kaze is often picked on by her brother. In a playful manner, of course. For a present, Teruchi gave Kaze a windboard, so she could have an easier time flying around. Kaze keeps it with her at all times.
Though she is princess, Kaze had a much harder time making friends than Teruchi (though he made more "friends" than friends). She has a tendency to be shy around new people, and would occasionally cling to her brother, despite their sibling rivalries.

Kaze returned to Ventureni somber from the whirlwind that was the war. Though she helps Jade take care of her three new siblings, she spends most of her free time outdoors: practicing archery, practicing marksmanship (having taken it up after Angel), and windsurfing.

He still lives with his boyfriend Storm, who has become his most stable relationship yet.

Dante also returned to Magmarne, where he began training under Magmarne. Though Dante is occasionally visited by Alastor, their encounters are far less violent than some of the other deities’, and instead are marked by their discussions in philosophy of law and justice.

Personality: Ank doesn't hide his sense of superiority. He very much enjoyed his new seat of power, and very much enjoys crushing the minds of those who oppose him.

Bio: A member of the Darkness Requiem. Used to hold the highest position below Xerizero after all his superiors turned coat or died. Though he was originally proficient with psionics before going blind, the loss of his eyes forced him to become an expert. Loves alcoholic beverages.

Ank begrudgingly became one of Shelly’s agents as well. Despite Shelly’s “mercy” he finds that he doesn’t find his current employment under one god any better than his last employment under another god. He’s usually found at Seth’s bar, messing with the minds of the other patrons, and occasionally acting as bodyguard or bouncer.

Bio: He is the current king of Nintendrian Royal Family that currently governs over the kingdom. He was not born in Nintendria however, and instead in the territory of Montis Ventum. He and his parents, Harmonia and Temporalum, were hunted by demonic monsters, and Elnathan fled back to Nintendria, where he then crashed into Talia.
He's more of a house-wife than his actual wife, and is completely content staying home cooking and cleaning while Talia goes off to save the world with the other queens.

Bio (Can be short or long, depends): Lutrine, along with her brother Monroe, had to take the throne at a young age due to the unexpected death of their parents. The sudden responsibility caused her to wall off her emotions, except around her immediate family. Even though she was already learning the Zemphriea Berserker techniques, after becoming queen she tended to get a lot more triggers. Her younger sisters nickname her "Lutey."

Lutrine spends most of her time in the castle, still somewhat fearful of an angry population for needlessly dragging them into war. She considers herself the one who needs to take care of the messier and less glamorous parts of running a kingdom. Still, despite this, her outbursts are becoming less frequent.

Bio (Can be short or long, depends): While Lutrine became more and more of a hair trigger after their parent's death, Monroe turned to his beastmastery to deal with his stress. The result is an obsession with cats, both small and large. Tigers and panthers roam the halls of Zempheriea castle freely, resulting one of the safest security systems of all Xephixer. His younger sisters nickname him "Mony" (pronounced "moany," much to his displeasure) or "Moony" if they want to tease him.

Like Lutrine, he's mostly been shut into the castle, but will fancy a walk around town when Xilva visits.

Bio: A mysterious girl hiding out in the Lunardream Factory. Surprisingly good with Dream magic. The Gods seem to know her, perhaps she trained under Arman?

Royalty Status: Patron God of Xephixer and Deity of Dreams
Bio: Arman is a relatively middle-aged god compared to the rest of the pantheon. He is one of few remaining Spirit Children after they were mercilessly hunted by Xerizero. During the gods' first fight with Puritus Bane, his body was taken over by the Corruption God until very recently, when Puritus was able to create his own body from Arman's. Sometimes Arman feels babied by the other gods, especially after the whole corruption incident.

With Cerphixen back to its decorrupted state, Arman returned to his homeland where he tirelessly worked to help rebuild civilizations and bring people into the new century.

Bio: The first god after the Creators, Ranthael is said to have inherited the Spacial King's powers and shape the world into its current form. When he's not performing godly duties in the nonmortal plane, or fighting off evil entities, Ranthael like to disguise himself and take interest in people's lives, occasionally helping them work through problems. Has an extremely low tolerance to any intoxicating substance. Recently people have begun to figure out that he moonlights as a traveling DJ.

Ranthael was a major help in the Cerphixen relief effort. He instigated talks, and helped as many people across the two planets as needed. As time went on, however, his presence slowly diminished. It’s been a while since anyone’s seen him now, even the other deities.

Magmarne, Terrantia, and Ventureni decided to return to their respective kingdoms, where they received a warm welcome after their century long capture. Nintendria, on the other hand, became worried about Ranthael and set off to locate him.

Bio: Fang is mostly a rumor around his home colony. He lives completely alone, and stories are wild about him. In reality he’s a necromancer, and recently has moved north to the kingdoms for a special subject he wanted to experiment on. He used to have a Ranthael look-alike that he stitched together from a number of dead bodies, but a group of travelers tore that up one Halloween night.

Bio: Puritus remained a relatively quiet god before his incident with Danil. As far as any of the current gods and goddesses remember (save Ranthael, who remains quiet on the topic) he was always around, but was kicked out of the pantheon about 5000 years ago. However, some few hundred years ago, he and Ranthael got into a deadly fight which resulted in Puritus' "death." But before his spirit could pass on, he grabbed hold of Danil's body and possessed it until he was strong enough to separate with a new body. Because most mortals were unaware of Puritus before his takeover of Danil's body, he's better known as Danil Impurity Form.

Has been suspected sleeping to recover from his split of Danil. However, he's recently awaken again, and probably not too happy with losing an entire corrupted planet.

Personality: Cunning and rarely shows how she feels. She’s very fascinated with dark things and while she sort of comes off as arrogant here and there, she’s actually not that bad a person.
